College of the Ozarks invites applications for a new full-time teaching position in the biology department. The College is a student-focused undergraduate institution that values self-motivated, versatile faculty members with strong teaching skills and the ability to work and communicate effectively with others.
Primary responsibilities for this position include providing classroom and laboratory instruction for human/molecular biology majors, which may include freshman general biology and upper-level human physiology, embryology, immunology, and/or related courses in the successful candidate’s field of expertise.
Non-teaching responsibilities include maintaining laboratory equipment, advising students, supervising student workers in the biology department, participating in semiannual faculty workshops, serving on campus committees, and attending monthly division meetings.
This position requires a PhD in biology or a terminal degree in a related field. Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience. This position may lead to a multi-year letter of appointment.

College of the Ozarks is a small (1,350 students), liberal arts based, work-study institution with a commitment to evangelical Christian faith and service, located in southwest Missouri near Branson (www.cofo.edu). Class sizes are small, generally 15-30 students in STEM courses. There is a strong sense of community among faculty, staff, and students not found at many institutions.
