On May 9-10, five baby swans or cygnets hatched from their eggs, ending their period of incubation. They join their parents to swim on Lake Honor.

POINT LOOKOUT, MO. — Two of the full-grown swans at College of the Ozarks gave birth to five cygnets, baby swans, which hatched on May 9-10, after being incubated for the prior 45 days. With this addition, the campus is now home to nine swans.

These baby swans will be donated around February or March of 2020, when they are fully grown. Some of the previous donations have gone to Johnny Morris at Top of the Rock Golf Course and local zoos.

The first swans were donated to the College in the late 1960s and are cared for by Chad Dardenne, Edwards Mill supervisor.
