College of the Ozarks invites the community to celebrate the fall season with A Taste of Student-Made: Americana Fall on Saturday, Sept. 19, from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. This annual event showcases the creativity, innovation, and hard work of students across campus through Student-Made Products, live demonstrations, samples, and special activities.

“As we look toward cooler weather and beautiful colors here on the College campus, we are always excited to showcase the talents of our staff and students,” said Kiley Hutcheson, director of retail and marketing. “A Taste of Student-Made is always a great community event where we can share all that Student-Made has to offer from season to season. As the country celebrates America 250, our Americana Fall is the theme for this year’s event.”

Guests will have the opportunity to sample seasonal Student-Made Products, including Pecan Sandies made with Student-Made Candied Pecans, Pepper Jelly Deviled Eggs, Harvest Berry Shortcake, and a Straw-Blueberry Shrub Spritzer.

New this year, guests can observe a student-led basket weaving demonstration at Edwards Mill & General Store. Visitors are also encouraged to visit the Ralph Foster Museum to view the “Celebrate America’s Stories” exhibit, which will be on display through Dec. 19. General admission is available for the exhibit.

• 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. “Celebrate America’s Stories” exhibit at the Ralph Foster Museum
• 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Campus retail locations open for shopping
• 10:45 - 11:30 a.m. Culinary demonstrations at The Keeter Center led by a senior culinary arts major, featuring Pepper Jelly Deviled Eggs and Student-Made Blueberry Lemon Macaroons
• Noon - 12:45 p.m. Student-led basket weaving demonstration at Edwards Mill & General Store

Guests who make a purchase during A Taste of Student-Made: Americana Fall will be entered into a drawing for a fall Student-Made Gift Basket valued at $75.
