POINT LOOKOUT, MO. — The College of the Ozarks Concert band will perform a concert in Jones Auditorium on Friday, May 1, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. The concert is free and open to the public. Tickets are not required. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
The concert explores themes of outer space as, the band will perform “Star Wars,” by the legendary film composer John Williams, along with “The Adventures in Super Mario Galaxy,” arranged by C of O composition student Cody Davis. Davis is passionate about video game music and has created a monumental work in four movements for the C of O Concert Band based on this cosmic saga.
The Concert Band also will be performing an energetic march by John Philip Sousa, along with other selections.
“The College of the Ozarks Concert Band is thrilled to present our spring performance and share an evening of engaging, memorable music with the community,” said Dr. Kevin Powers, associate professor of music and director of bands. “A special highlight of this concert is the premiere of an original four-movement composition by student Cody Davis, whose passion for video game music inspired a creative and ambitious work. We are excited for audiences to experience the energy, imagination, and artistry that make this program truly unique.”
