College of the Ozarks will host the Jazz Ensemble and Concert Band Christmas concert on Friday, Dec. 5, at 6:30 p.m. The concert will take place on campus at the Royal Oak Forum in The Keeter Center. The concert is free and open to the public.

“This is the perfect opportunity to hear both the College of the Ozarks Concert Band and Jazz Ensemble at the same concert,” said Dr. Kevin Powers, associate professor of music. “The Jazz Ensemble will begin the evening with fun jazz arrangements of well-known Christmas carols. A highlight of this performance will be a powerful arrangement of ‘O Holy Night’ that will feature high note trumpet artist Robert Offutt. The Concert Band will then conclude the evening with festive music that will put you in the Christmas spirit, along with patriotic selections that the band recently had the honor of performing before a group of Vietnam Veterans. Both ensembles have been working hard during rehearsals in preparation for this performance; we hope you can come and be a part of this fun and festive evening.”
