POINT LOOKOUT, MO. —On April 12, 2024, The Center for Faithful Arts will host a Festival of Arts showcasing faculty and students’ work in the music, art, and theatre departments.

The Center for Faithful Arts exists to engage culture by encouraging and supporting artists of Christian faith in their pursuit of artistic excellence and by providing opportunities for dialogue between the arts and theology. This Festival of Arts is the event launching the new Center for Faithful Arts.

Dr. Jay Todd, professor of biblical and theological studies, has helped orchestrate this event alongside the art, music, and theatre departments. The event will showcase the work of students from each department with a music concert, short film viewing, art exhibit, and the spring musical.

“One of the Center’s goals is to encourage and support artists of Christian faith in their pursuit of artistic excellence,” Todd said. “Fortunately, we do not have to look very far to find such artists since our Professional and Performing Arts Division is full of artists who love Christ and exhibit artistic excellence. We want to celebrate what our faculty and students are doing by inviting the community to come and see their work during the Festival of Arts.”

This is a free ticketed event where attendees will also have dinner provided. The guest limit is 150, and it will be a first-come, first-served experience. Tickets can be reserved through this link,  https://forms.cofo.edu/240494168787067
