COLLEGE OF THE OZARKS TO HOST BEEF PRODUCTION SALE ON CAMPUS

POINT LOOKOUT, MO. — The College of the Ozarks Agricultural Department will hold their Registered Hereford Production Sale on Saturday, Nov. 30, at 12 p.m. in the Sale Barn on the C of O campus.

Lunch will be available at the Youngman Agriculture Center at 11 a.m.

Cattle will be on the premises for viewing prior to the sale. Cattle in the sale are born and raised on the College beef farm. The beef farm students are primarily responsible for daily care of the cattle, feeding, vaccinations, and care of pasture grasses, hay, and bailage. 

The students enrolled in the Livestock Merchandising class will auction off 82 Lots; 11 service age bulls, several cow/calf pairs, bred heifers, and yearling open heifers. These students will manage all aspects of the sale under the guidance of Tammy Holder, beef farm manager.
