Eighteen advance to national conference

POINT LOOKOUT, MO. — College of the Ozarks Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) attended the Missouri PBL State Leadership Conference on April 13 at Ozarks Technical Community College in Springfield, Missouri. This conference tests the students’ aptitude in many business categories, such as economics, hospitality management, job interview, and small business management plan.

Twenty-six students from the College competed at the state level, and of the twenty-six, eighteen are advancing to the national level, which will be held in San Antonio, Texas, June 24 – 27, 2018.

College of the Ozarks PBL is led by Kaitlyn Dewey, club president and senior business administration major, and Emily Braden, club vice president and junior business administration and public relations double major.

“This is the largest group of students the College has ever sent to the PBL state competition,” said College of the Ozarks PBL Advisor Emily Emery, assistant professor of business administration. “The business department is very proud of this group of talented students and are confident they will do well this summer.”
