POINT LOOKOUT, MO. — College of the Ozarks Associate Professor of Communication Arts, Dr. Curt Wilkinson, released his new book, KNOWN: A Year of Questions, The book with daily readings presents engaging questions that focus on deepening relationships and developing a greater understanding of self.
Wilkinson released his book on July 26, 2021, and was inspired by his belief that social media erodes our engagement in
meaningful, face-to-face conversation.
“My hope is that KNOWN will encourage people to be transparent with one another,” Wilkinson said. “I think this book can be a wonderful way to grow closer to the people we love, but it only has value if we’re willing to put down our phones. Many of our students get engaged and married during their time here at C of O. It would give me great satisfaction to find that this book has helped couples grow closer together.”

More about Dr. Curt Wilkinson
Wilkinson has taught at College of the Ozarks since 2014. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Columbia College in 1984; his Master of Arts from Wheaton College in 1991; and his Ph.D. from the University of Exeter in 2011. As an associate professor of communication arts, Wilkinson engages with students on an academic and practical level, teaching media production and digital storytelling.
