POINT LOOKOUT, MO. — College of the Ozarks was named among The Best 387 Colleges, 2022 edition, by The Princeton Review in their recently released, yearly guidebook. The College was recognized in five categories and ranked within the 200 Best Value Colleges for 2021.

The Best 387 Colleges guide compares Hard Work U. to the most academically outstanding colleges in the nation. The College is listed as a Great School for both health services and agricultural majors.

“It is an honor to educate students who become well-educated, hardworking, and patriotic, the hallmarks of our graduates,” said College of the Ozarks President Jerry C. Davis. “They graduate debt free, a testament to their hard work and our commitment to mission.”

College of the Ozarks also placed on the Great Town-Gown Relations list, stating that a majority of those surveyed believe that “students get along with members of the local community."

“You can pick out a C of O student from the crowd...because they stand out. They’re always willing to go the extra mile, and accomplish their goals,” said one undergraduate who was surveyed by The Princeton Review.

The rankings in the 2022 edition are based on surveys of 143,000 students at the 386 colleges in the book from 2020-21. The survey asks students questions about their school’s academics, administration, student body, life at their college, and themselves.

“We are delighted to shine this deserving light on the exceptional colleges that made our ‘Great Lists,’” said Rob Franek, editor-in-chief of The Princeton Review and author of The Best 387 Colleges. “Their placement on these lists goes beyond our high opinion of the colleges: their inclusion in our ‘Best Colleges’ guide bears witness to that.

The College has received high marks from The Princeton Review consistently for more than two decades.
