COLLEGE OF THE OZARKS HOSTS THE NATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON PATRIOTIC EDUCATION WITH NATIONALLY RENOWNED SPEAKERS

Registration open for live, digital event to take place Sept. 16-17

POINT LOOKOUT, MO. — College of the Ozarks will host The National Symposium on Patriotic Education, to be held via livestream, on Sept. 16-17, 2021. Thousands are registered to view the content digitally from the comfort of their homes and offices across the nation.

The purpose of the Symposium, which is hosted by The William S. Knight Center for Patriotic Education at College of the Ozarks, is to revive historic American values and virtue on the eve of the 250th anniversary of America’s founding.

Nationally renowned speakers include the following:

  • Former Vice President Michael R. Pence, 48th Vice President of the United States
  • Sarah Huckabee Sanders, former White House Press Secretary
  • Dr. Ben Carson, former Director of Housing and Urban Development
  • Edward Graham, Vice President of Programs and Government Relations for Samaritan’s Purse
  • Ryan Manion, President of the Travis Manion Foundation

During the Symposium, participants can expect to learn about patriotic education programs, connect with thought-leaders and practitioners, and access innovative patriotic education content and resources.

7 – 8:30 p.m. — Session 1: Sarah Huckabee Sanders – Liberty’s Lessons – Learning about America's heritage, especially individual and religious freedom

September 17

8 – 9:15 a.m. — Session 2: Edward Graham – Liberty’s Cost – Honoring the sacrifices of Veterans and their families

9:45 – 10:45 a.m. — Session 3: Ryan Manion – Liberty’s Cost – Honoring the sacrifices of Veterans and their families

11 – 11:45 a.m. — Patriotic Education Course: All Class Military Formation

1 – 2 p.m. — Session 4: Ben Carson – Liberty’s Foundation – Strengthening free enterprise through hard work

7 – 8:30 p.m. — Session 5: Michael R. Pence – Liberty’s Legacy – Transforming society through virtuous public, civic, and military service
