Job Description:
Student workers at the Warehouse fill requests for supplies for various items needed by offices and departments on campus and will learn how to properly receive, price, stock, sell and deliver items, complete appropriate paperwork and computer entries, as well as other warehouse operations. The warehouse is the central receiving and shipping point for the College campus which receives packages from commercial carriers.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
Assist customers by helping them find what they need,
Ship and receive packages for the College, complete the appropriate paperwork, and deliver to appropriate departments,
Receive items for stocking the warehouse, including using the computer to charge out items, entering items into inventory and typing purchase orders,
Answer the telephone, including responding to issues and needs of staff, students and outside salesmen.
Secondary duties and responsibilities:
Each student is assigned an area in the warehouse that they are responsible to maintain,
Do work as requested by purchasing director,
Housekeeping in the warehouse including box room, van and restroom.
Basic Qualifications:
Ability to focus on multiple projects,
Good oral and written communication skills,
Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds,
Computer literate,
Have great human relation skills.
Desirable Qualifications:
Able to pay attention to details (lots of paperwork),
Work well with others and have a positive attitude,
Multi-task quickly.

This department is not major specific, but it does require a motivated, mature and responsible individual who is accountable for his or her decisions.
