Registrar’s Office

Position Title:

Student Office Worker

Required Schedule Flexibility

(1-5 scale with 5 as most flexible): 3

Job Description:

Our office hours are Monday - Friday 8 a.m. -5 p.m. (including the lunch hour)

The student workers in the Registrar’s Office work extensively with student records - including transcripts, enrollment, and schedule changes.  They communicate with students, faculty, and staff.

Primary duties and responsibilities:

Routine office work (data entry, document retention),
Assist with registration procedures,
Process transcript requests,
Answer phone and email inquiries with accuracy,
Respond to current and former students' request for information.

Secondary duties and responsibilities:

Assist with document retention,
Assist the Registrar with transcript evaluations of transfer credit,
Maintain a clean and organized work area, office, and workroom.

Basic Qualifications:

Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously,
Attention to detail,
Good problem-solving skills.

Desirable Qualifications:

GPA of 3.0 or higher,
Knowledge of campus offices and faculty members.

Additional Remarks

Student workers in the Registrar’s Office have access to a large volume of confidential information and will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement each semester.

Learning Objectives:

The student will:
Demonstrate reliability by adhering to a work schedule,
Be proficient with computer programs used by the Registrar's Office,
Communicate effectively and professionally with students, faculty, staff, and parents (written and verbal),
Demonstrate ethical conduct regarding regulations, FERPA, and office "best practices",
Dress appropriately for the office,
Process transcripts efficiently and accurately,
Understand the importance of confidentiality and attention to detail.
