Job Description:
KCOZ-FM operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, programming top 100 Jazz, Blues, and special campus events.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
Operate the master control console,
Follow the RCS program log,
Present LEGAL station identification,
Send and receive EAS (emergency alert system) testing,
Announce musical selections, weather, news, etc.,
Observe all rules and regulations of the Federal Communications Commission,
Assigned Production.
Secondary duties and responsibilities:
General station cleaning: sweep, dust, mop, trash duty, restroom cleaning, etc.,
Pick up mail and faxes.
Basic Qualifications:
Must be able to communicate effectively and maintain intelligent on-air personality,
Must be able to work scheduled hours,
Must be prompt and reliable.
Desirable Qualifications:
Pleasant personality,
Ability to work with others,
Ability to work unsupervised at times.
Additional Remarks
As a control operator for KCOZ, you are directly responsible for the overall sound of the radio station. In the course of a week we reach thousands of listeners. The best way to retain our audience is to provide them with the quality service they expect.

The student will:
Be expected to show up on time, and dress professionally,
Learn how to use work hours in the most productive manner,
Develop skills for on-air broadcasting,
Produce original feature stories and interview programs to highlight the College and its interesting programs and people,
Have the opportunity for further training workshops with local KRZK/KOMC professionals to develop broadcasting skills.
