Office Worker

Position Title:

Office Worker

Required Schedule Flexibility

(1-5 scale with 5 as most flexible): 4

Job Description:

The Print Shop is open Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm with an hour lunch from 12 noon to 1 pm. The Print Shop does all the campus printing and some off campus, commercial printing jobs.  The office staff are the first people that customers meet plus take care of primary office duties that maintain the smooth running of the Print Shop.

Primary duties and responsibilities:

Meet and greet customers,
Answer all incoming calls and designate them to proper destinations or take messages,
Open job tickets,
Type correspondence,
Maintain customer and vendor files,
Assist with filing,
Track jobs in progress,
Assist with buy-outs and complete order forms,
Bill and pricing,
Assist customers with copy jobs,
Distribute mail,
Distribute proofs to customers,
Keep track of inventory,
Place orders for supplies for all departments,
Sweep, mop, dust and general cleaning of the office.

Secondary duties and responsibilities:

Assist other departments, which may consist of folding, laminating, and cutting, packaging, binding, etc.

Basic Qualifications:

The ability to communicate effectively, have a clear voice, good diction and a friendly customer service attitude,
Dependability, promptness, hardworking and patient,
Ability to remain calm under pressure,
Ability to lift heavy items,
Knowledge of PC computers, Windows, Microsoft Office and Excel.

Desirable Qualifications:

Ability to follow directions,
Ability to work well with others,
Ability to multi task and pay attention to detail.
