Job Description:
The student workers will assist the Financial Aid Coordinator and Financial Aid Director in the administration of federal, state, and institutional aid in accordance with applicable regulations, thereby serving the students of the institution with their financial aid needs.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
Use an electronic filing system to scan FAFSAs, tax information, and other documents, in the student financial aid files,
Ability of accurate and timely processing of FAFSAs,
Be professional in answering questions at the front desk and on the telephone,
Use a copy machine, scanner, and fax machine,
Prepare and mail documents and correspondences.
Secondary duties and responsibilities:
General cleaning of Financial Aid Office space,
Assist Coordinator and Director with special projects,
Process mail and emails.
Basic Qualifications:
Dependable, prompt, and have a good attitude,
Maintain confidentiality of information at all times,
Ability to understand and interpret instructions for accurately completing work assignments.

Learn all aspects, policies, and procedures of running the Financial Aid office,
Be proficient in PowerFAIDS, Jenzabar, and other Financial Aid programs,
Learn the Image Now Program and have the attention to detail the program requires,
Develop proficient and appropriate telephone etiquette,
Develop good customer service skills by going over and above what is expected to serve the people on and off campus,
Learn how to interact respectfully with fellow workers and promote a positive atmosphere in the work place,
Develop good interpersonal skills,
Adherence to schedule, promptness, and calling when personal schedule interferes with work schedule,
