Open ancient Bible College of the Ozarks will open a rare exhibit of biblical artifacts, INSPIRED Exhibit.

College of the Ozarks will host the annual Spring Forum, with a discussion on Israel by Dr. Jim Denison and moderated by Mike Huckabee, on April 4. The following day, on April 5, the College will open a rare exhibit of biblical artifacts, INSPIRED Exhibit, that will showcase the history of the Bible and enhance the Forum’s emphasis on Israel.

Approximately 100 manuscripts, artifacts, and rare printed books will be displayed over 10 distinct areas. Visitors will gain key insights highlighted
by trained docents in each themed area. Visitors also have the opportunity to operate a full-scale working replica of the 1455 Gutenberg
printing press, printing a page of the Bible.

“We look forward to this opportunity to dive deeper into the history of Israel, the dynamics that have shaped Israel’s political standing in the Middle East, and the factors that weigh so heavily on them now,” said Dr. Brad Johnson, College of the Ozarks president. “The talk given by Dr. Denison, which will be moderated by Mike Huckabee, will be the perfect launch to a 15-day exhibit of exceptional quality.”

The INSPIRED Exhibit travels across the globe, with more appearances internationally than domestically. We are honored to host these events for the public. ~ President Brad Johnson

Presenter shows a tour group and open scroll INSPIRED Exhibit showcases how the most banned book in history became the world’s all-time best seller.

INSPIRED Exhibit showcases how the most banned book in history became the world’s all-time best seller. It will be open to the public April 5-20: Monday-Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the last entry time at 4 p.m.

Ancient artifacts and written materials provide for visitors an understanding of how the Bible was written and preserved through the ages and how it has survived every attempt to suppress it. Working with private collectors to tell this incredible story, the exhibit showcases items rarely seen outside of a museum. Tactile activities assist visitors in the learning process, including the operation of a working replica of Gutenberg’s printing press.

Groups are invited to attend, including church groups, homeschool groups, school groups, etc. Groups will reserve time for morning presentations, which will be given Monday-Saturday, 8 to 10 a.m. Group reservations must be made in advance by calling (417) 690-2929.

Individual visitors to The Keeter Center, and those dining at Dobyns Dining Room, will have an opportunity to sign up for a flight time when on site. The INSPIRED Exhibit is a free experience, and at the end of their tour, visitors will be allowed to enter a drawing for a biblical artifact with an estimated value of more than $500.
