WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE EXHIBIT:
Approximately 100 manuscripts, artifacts, and rare printed books will be displayed over 10 distinct areas. Guests will encounter early cuneiform tablets and cylinder seals, papyrus, scrolls, and early printed Bibles. Also included are areas on art, the Reformation, and the indestructibility of the Bible. The final area includes a working replica of Johannes Gutenberg’s revolutionary printing press.
The INSPIRED Exhibit experience includes key insights highlighted by trained docents in each themed area. Visitors have the opportunity to operate a full-scale working replica of the 1455 Gutenberg printing press, printing a page of the Bible.
Printed exhibit catalogs and other publications are designed to round out the exhibition experience.
RESERVATIONS, DATES, & TIMES:
INSPIRED Exhibit will be open to the public April 5-20: Monday-Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the last entry time at 4 p.m. The Exhibit is closed on Sunday.
Groups are invited to attend, including church groups, homeschool groups, school groups, etc. Groups will reserve time for morning presentations, which will be given Monday-Saturday, 8 to 10 a.m. School and church group reservations must be made in advance. Please call 417-690-2929.
Visitors to The Keeter Center will have an opportunity to experience the exhibit. The INSPIRED Exhibit is a free experience, and guest will have an opportunity to enter a drawing for a biblical artifact with an estimated value of more than $500.
