VETERANS HISTORY PROJECT

Authorized by Congress and spearheaded by the Library of Congress, the Veterans History Project collects and preserves memories of America’s wartime veterans. Collections are housed at the Library of Congress and around the country at Official Partners of the project. Together, the Branson Veterans Task Force and the College of the Ozarks document and provide access to histories that have been locally collected.

The Veterans History Project archives at the College of the Ozarks are located at Lyons Memorial Library. The collection is available to researchers any time the library is open; no appointment is necessary. College of the Ozarks is two miles south of Branson, Missouri, exiting highway 65 at the Hollister interchange. For a map of the C of O campus, see Campus Map.

If you are looking for a specific history, the Library of Congress provides a search engine at http://www.loc.gov/vets/. For more information about the Branson Veterans Task Force, go to http://bransonveterans.com/.
