Veterans and active military are automatically awarded credit for PAT 103 Patriotic Education I and PED 101 Lifetime Wellness based on documented completion of basic training. Additionally, students are asked to request a copy of their military transcript be sent to the Registrar's Office for evaluation. College of the Ozarks awards credit for military training based on the recommendations of the American Council on Education.
College of the Ozarks equivalencies for courses completed through CLEP:
** HTY 100 or HTY 101 will fulfill the HTY 253 American Experience general education requirement, if both exams are taken one will count as lower division elective credit.
College of the Ozarks equivalencies for courses completed through Advanced Placement:
The Seal of Biliteracy is a credential granted by high schools to certify a student's proficiency in a language other than English. Students may request college credit at C of O for their Seal of Biliteracy by submitting official documentation of their scores to the Registrar's Office.
College of the Ozarks grants credit for the ACTFL Assessment of Performance toward Proficiency in Languages (AAPPL) as indicated below:

Students may request college credit at C of O for International Baccalaureate classes by submitting an official International Baccalaureate transcript to the Registrar's Office.
