Dr. Lambeth teaches the upper division and intermediate courses in Spanish, as well as some first-year Spanish. He started teaching college Spanish at Indiana University in 1987, taught from 1989 through 1997 at the University of Florida, and since 1999 has taught at College of the Ozarks.
After a rigorous high school Spanish program, Dr. Lambeth lived in Spain with a Spanish family and fell in love with the country and its culture(s). After a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Journalism, he pursued a master’s in Spanish Linguistics and then a PhD in Spanish literature. In 2009 he also earned the status of Certified Court Interpreter for Spanish in Missouri. His current areas of interest include Hispanic cultural studies, translation and interpretation, and social work and ministry among Hispanics.
