Career Center

The Career Center assists in planning and formulating vocational goals. By the use of assessments, the staff can assist in exploring vocational options and deciding academic majors. The Center provides an online resource management system that will help in preparing a cover letter, writing a resume, and networking. The Center sponsors two Career Expos, a Summer Resource Fair, employers' on-campus interviews, professional enhancement seminars, graduate school preparation, direct employer contacts, social media branding, and mock or virtual interviews to develop the soft skills needed to interview professionally. Information on part-time and full-time professional employment and internships is available.

Counseling Center

You will find the Student Counseling Center provides a variety of objective, nonjudgmental counseling services at no cost to you. The services you receive are the same type you would get visiting a professional counselor or relationship therapist off-campus.

The Writing Center

The Writing Center offers Reader Response Sessions, 30-minute one-on-one sessions between a student and a peer writing assistant that give the student a chance to discuss his or her writing and receive feedback and suggestions.

Tutoring

More Information:  Course Instructor or Faculty Adviser

Students should attend every class and are encouraged to ask questions, to meet with the instructor at the first indication of trouble, and to seek out study groups. Students are assigned a faculty adviser to whom he or she may also go if further guidance is needed.
