NEWS AND ACTIVITIES
PBL Members, Michael Galioto and 2018 graduate, Andrew Carson, placed first in the nation for the Small Business Management Plan category and Kortney Cambers placed first in Hospitality Management, at the 2018 national Phi Beta Lambda competition held in Baltimore, Maryland.

Mrs. Emily Emery serves as an associate professor in the business department at College of the Ozarks. She graduated from College of the Ozarks in 2006 and earned her M.B.A. in 2012 from Southwest Baptist University. She earned her Doctor of Business Administration from Liberty University, located in Lynchburg, Virginia, in December of 2021. Prior to teaching at College of the Ozarks, Emily worked at Cintas Corporation in sales and management. Emily is married and has two children.

Mr. Steven Fowler serves as an assistant professor of accounting at College of the Ozarks. He earned a B.S. in accounting in 1995 from East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma, and a Master of Taxation Degree from the University of Tulsa in 2008. He also is a certified public accountant and worked for 17 years in industry in both private and public accounting before joining the College.

Teaching Focus: Finance and Statistics

Dr. Autumn Moody taught at College of the Ozarks from 2002-2014 and returned in 2020. From 2015-2020 she moved to Northwest Arkansas to return to the finance industry as an investment officer at Arvest Bank. Eventually she returned to higher education and taught at the University of Arkansas and as an adjunct at NWACC, UAFS, and JBU. Prior to teaching she had a career in finance.
She teaches a variety of business classes for the business department with her specialty being finance and statistics. Dr. Moody received the teaching award for Walton College of Business in 2019. She has done consulting work for Tyson Foods and served on the Foundation Board at Northwest Technical Institute in Springdale, Arkansas.
She has a B.A. in Musical Theater from Hendrix College, an M.B.A. from Drury University, and a Ph.D. in Business with an emphasis in Management from Northcentral University.

Scott Hall is an Assistant Professor in the business department at College of the Ozarks where he teaches courses in marketing and strategy. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from Vanderbilt University and his Master of Business Administration from Wake Forest University. He is a doctoral candidate in the Doctor of Business Administration (Marketing) program at Anderson University. Scott brings nearly twenty years of experience in banking and wealth management to the classroom. His research interests are in market orientation, consumer behavior, value creation, and strategy. Scott and his wife Melissa have two daughters and a goldendoodle.

Eveline Susanto Lewis is an Associate Professor of Business and the ACBSP Accreditation Champion for College of the Ozarks. She has been involved in higher education in Missouri since 2012. Her teaching areas are Management, International Business, and Entrepreneurship. Prior to college teaching in the USA, she worked in the import-export, hospitality industry, and in the nonprofit sector in China, Indonesia, Taiwan, and the Philippines. Her experience also includes managing an orphanage, starting an international school, and developing a social enterprise. Dr. Lewis received her DBA from Anderson University (Indiana), MBA from Baylor University (Texas), Master of Hospitality Management from University of Houston (Texas), and Bachelor of Science in Food Technology from Bogor Agricultural University (Indonesia). She speaks Indonesian, Mandarin Chinese, and English. Dr. Lewis was named one of the Most Influential Women by Springfield Business Journal in 2022.

Ryan Douglas is an Assistant Professor of Business for the College of the Ozarks. Dr. Douglas has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration from Northwest Missouri State University. He also has a Doctor of Business Administration from California Southern University. His research interest includes the effects of debt on earnings for publicly traded companies. Dr. Douglas began his career in industry performing financial analysis regarding revenue recognition, cost capitalization, cash flow, economic forecasting, time value of money calculations, and accounting-related responsibilities.
Before College of the Ozarks, Dr. Douglas served as Department Chair of Accounting, Finance, and Cybersecurity at the University of Mount Olive. His teaching areas include finance, accounting, and other business-related subjects. Dr. Douglas earned the honor of Professor of the Year in 2022 at the University of Mount Olive and Faculty of the Year in 2014 at Grantham University.
