WHAT ARE THE POLICIES FOR USING TECHNOLOGY?
When using technology, students are required to conduct themselves in the same professional, lawful, and ethical manner as they do elsewhere on campus. Refer to the Use of College Technology policy for important guidelines and rules.
ARE COMPUTERS AVAILABLE FOR STUDENT USE?
There are limited computers in each residence hall public lounges available to students for educational use. Additional computers are available in select buildings and computer labs across campus.
WHERE CAN STUDENTS ACCESS THE INTERNET WITH PERSONAL DEVICES?
Wireless Internet access is available at residence halls and select buildings across campus. Personal devices can connect in any location broadcasting the “COFO-STUDENT” wireless network. Residence halls also support hardwired connections using standard Ethernet cables.
WHAT ARE THE SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS FOR INTERNET ACCESS?
Computers accessing the College Internet must register their device on Campusweb and install antivirus software provided by the IT department. These steps are provided to students at the time of admission. Minimum system requirements are as follows:

WILL THE COLLEGE MAINTAIN A STUDENT'S COMPUTER?
For the protection of students and the College, no maintenance, service, or operation of any kind is performed by College staff on student devices. The College is not responsible for damage to student devices, including issues resulting from the use of College services.
WHAT BANDWIDTH AND CONTENT RESTRICTIONS ARE IN PLACE?
Students share bandwidth and wireless resources across campus. The College uses technologies to restrict maximum bandwidth usage by device and service to ensure optimal use by all students. Additionally, content and activities on the College systems are monitored to ensure adherence to its Use of College Technology policy.
