The Communication Arts degree will prepare students to be competent communicators in today's diverse and evolving business, professional, and academic fields. Communication Arts has a variety of emphases through which a student can follow interests, develop abilities, and channel talents. Each area of study will enhance students’ critical thinking, communication, and field-specific technology skills. Studies include hands-on media and communication activities.
To supplement the academic experience, departmental organizations allow students to practice communication skills while having fun. In addition, internships provide students with experience in the professional world. Graduates of this program will: 1) understand the functionality of both communication and media within society; 2) develop knowledge and skills necessary to function as productive members in the communication arts field.
