Harris Faulkner

Harris Faulkner, a Fox News Channel anchor, was the honorary speaker at the College of the Ozarks Work Ethic Forum in April 2013.  She shared with her audience remarks about persistent determination and passion demonstrated through hard work.

Attending the Forum were cadets and students from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, U.S. Naval Academy, Marine Military Academy, New Mexico Military Institute, Evangel University, Southwest Baptist University, and Texas A&M University.  Students and cadets from the visiting institutions, along with CofO students, learned about the importance of a work ethic and perseverance from three featured plenary speakers: vice-president of Convoy of Hope, Jim Batten; retired Lieutenant General of the U.S .Marine Corps, Lieutenant General Gary Hughey; and KY3 News anchor, Jerry Jacobs.

Students and cadets participated in group discussions after each plenary session. Many of the visiting students and cadets also chose to help with early morning milking at the campus dairy.
