Administrative Assistant – School of the Ozarks, a laboratory school of College of the Ozarks, is seeking applicants for the position of Administrative Assistant for the Lower School (grades K-6).  Applicants should have a solid relationship with Christ, outstanding human relations skills, and the ability to maintain one’s composure while multitasking.  Skills should include computer proficiency, including the complete Office 2007 package and the ability to communicate effectively with both the spoken and written word. The applicant should also have a working knowledge of the tasks necessary to maintain records in an educational environment as well as the ability to anticipate, discern and prioritize those tasks.  A minimum of a bachelor’s degree and experience in a school office setting is preferred.

High School Mathematics/Physics – School of the Ozarks, a laboratory school of College of the Ozarks invites applications for a full-time faculty position in mathematics/physics. Starting date is August 2014 with some required training dates in July; rank and salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Masters degree or higher preferred. Responsibilities include teaching upper level mathematics and physics, including pre-calculus, calculus, trigonometry, and physics (basic and calculus-based). Additional responsibilities might include college-entrance advisement, ACT preparation, and coaching athletics. This teacher would teach in the laboratory high school under the direction of Headmaster, Brad Dolloff.  Preference will be given to one who has successfully demonstrated the ability to build relationships and maintain high expectations in a classical Christian high school.

Business - College of the Ozarks invites applications for a full-time faculty position in business.  Master’s degree in business required, Ph.D. preferred, as are experience in teaching and industry.  This position requires a generalist able to teach multiple sections of economics, free enterprise, and various management, marketing, and/or business communications courses.

Music (piano) - College of the Ozarks invites applications for a full-time faculty position in music.  Master’s degree in piano or piano pedagogy with college-level teaching experience (private studio and classroom/piano lab setting) required; Ph.D. preferred.  Courses include class piano and applied piano for majors and non-majors, as well as music history and other piano coursework in pedagogy and literature.  Other duties may include recruiting, advising music majors, coordinating adjunct accompanists, directing chamber ensembles, overseeing the maintenance of department pianos, serving on college committees, and leading a collegiate chapter of the MTNA.

Electronic Media Production - College of the Ozarks invites applications for a full-time faculty position in electronic media production.  The successful candidate will be able to teach courses in video and audio production and courses such as Convergence Media, Mass Media, Media in Society, and, occasionally as needed, Public Speaking.  This position includes oversight of student workers who carry out production activities on behalf of the College, including but not limited to production and editing the College’s basketball games for broadcast on a local cable channel.  Master’s degree in communication or related field required; Ph.D. or terminal degree and industry experience preferred.

Communication Arts - College of the Ozarks invites applications for a full-time faculty position in communication.  The successful candidate will be a generalist able to teach multiple sections of Public Speaking every semester, and other courses such as Business and Professional Speaking, Small Group Communication, Introduction to Journalism, Foundations of Mass Media, and Media in Society.  Master’s degree in communication or journalism required; Ph.D. preferred, as is industry experience in journalism and/or public relations.
