Transfer Students

College of the Ozarks welcomes applications from transfer students who have earned a minimum college grade point average of 3.0. Transfer students who have completed credits beyond the Associate of Arts Degree level from an accredited institution level may be ineligible for admission. Students who have a bachelor’s degree are not eligible for admission.

After we receive your application, we will send you a list of documents and other items necessary to complete your admissions file.

Transfer applicants must submit transcripts of all college-level course work even if they do not wish to transfer the credits. Applicants who have grade point averages beneath the College’s standards for academic achievement (see college catalog) should include a written explanation for below standard academic performance. The admission or enrollment of applicants who do not report previous college-level work is subject to revocation.

Transfer courses with grades of F are counted in figuring cumulative grade point averages but will not count toward C of O graduation requirements.
 
Transfer students must submit the following:

• Applicant Data Sheet
• High School Transcript (if under 24 hours)
• ACT Scores (if under 24 hours) - ACT Test Dates
• Medical Questionnaire
• Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
• Official College Transcript(s)
• Transfer Student Form
• Two Letters of Recommendation
• Interviews are required. An admissions staff member will schedule interviews with qualified candidates after receipt of college transcript.

Your file is considered complete when each item on the list has been received and processed. Other items may be required in special circumstances. You are encouraged to complete your admissions file as soon as possible since admission to College of the Ozarks is quite competitive.
