Home Educated First-Time Students

After we receive your application, we will send you a list of documents and other items necessary to complete your admissions file.

Home Educated First-time students must submit the following:

  • Applicant Data Sheet
  • High School Transcript  (must contain the following information)
    • all courses taken
    • when they were taken (year and term)
    • letter or percentage grade earned (we do not accept pass/fail grades)
    • grade point average
    • signature of home educator
  • We accept an official GED score report and certificate in lieu of a high school transcript
  • ACT/SAT Scores (students should obtain our preferred score of 19 on the ACT; 910 on the SAT) - ACT Test Dates
  • Medical Questionnaire
  • Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), see Financial Aid - New Applicants for more details.
  • Two reference forms
  • Interviews are required. An admissions staff member will schedule interviews with qualified candidates after receipt of high school transcript and test scores.

Your file is considered complete when each item on the list has been received and processed. Other items may be required in special circumstances. You are encouraged to complete your admissions file as soon as possible since admission to College of the Ozarks is quite competitive. Please see our Admissions Process Time Line for important information regarding a target date for completing your admissions file.
