Based on your application for admission and the
results of your FAFSA, The Financial Aid Office
will calculate a financial aid package for you.
You must request the processor to send the results
of your FAFSA to College of the Ozarks. See
HOW TO APPLY FOR AID - CURRENT STUDENTS. Most students
will have received complete aid award letters
by August. The award letter will list and explain
the aid applied for the following school year.
Once you receive your award letter, there is no
further action required on your part. We will
send you a new award letter if your federal or
state grants change.
If you believe that you may qualify for certain
scholarships, please review our Scholarship
listings for eligibility and requirements. You
may also contact our office to check your eligibility.
Notification for receiving a scholarship is done
via Campus Web email or a letter to your campus dorm
or
work address. In some cases, particularly if you are
a new student or attending part-time, we will send
a letter to your home address.
Scholarships from outside organizations are typically
applied directly to the student account. Scholarship
checks may require endorsement before it can be applied
to the account. This can be taken care of in the Cashier’s
Office.
Scholarships from College of the Ozarks are applied
to the student account with consideration to the
requirements set by the scholarship. Scholarships
may be placed
on hold if your Financial Aid file is incomplete.
Loans proceeds from private alternative loan programs
will be disbursed after the tenth day of class.
In the event that an educational charge on the student
account is due prior to registration for the next
semester, seek the advice of the Financial Aid
Office
in order
to proceed with registration. Proceeds may be placed
on hold if your Financial Aid file is incomplete.
