SUBJECT: STUDENT NURSING PINNING AND BLESSING CEREMONY SLATED FOR MAY 11
By: Turner Brock
The College of the Ozarks Armstrong McDonald School of Nursing will host its fourth annual Pinning and Blessing Ceremony on Saturday, May 11, at 4 p.m., in Williams Memorial Chapel.
“A nursing pin is traditionally presented to newly-graduated nurses as a symbolic welcome into the profession,” says Nursing Program Director Dr. Janice Williams. “It signifies the completion of a rigorous educational process.”
During the ceremony, 18 nursing graduates will receive a specially designed pin that reflects the program’s five concepts of Truth, Character, Critical Thinking, the Tenets of Florence Nightingale and Creating a Nourishing Environment. Refreshments will be served following the observance.
The event is free of charge and open to the public. Please RSVP by Thursday, April 30, to the Nursing Office at (417) 690-2421.
