SUBJECT: ST. LOUIS CARDINALS SPORTS DIRECTOR TO SPEAK ON THE IMPORTANCE OF BALANCE AND ENJOYMENT OF LIFE

Tom AckermanCollege of the Ozarks will host Tom Ackerman Monday, September 16, at 7 p.m., in the Jones Auditorium. Mr. Ackerman will speak on the importance of seeking balance, as well as enjoyment in your life, as he shares his career rise as a sportscaster to his current position as KMOX Sports Director.

Ackerman began his broadcasting career calling play-by-play for Indiana University basketball, football, and baseball for WIUS-AM in Bloomington, Pennsylvania. He currently serves as Vice President of the IU Alumni Association’s St. Louis Chapter. Ackerman is the Sports Director at KMOX, the flagship station for the St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Blues, and also leads as the sports anchor on “Total Information A.M.”

St. Louis Business Journal’s “30 Under 30,” recognized Mr. Ackerman as one of St. Louis metropolitan young professionals on their way to establishing prominent careers. He is a past recipient of the Riverfront Times’ “Best Reporter” (Radio/TV) award in its annual “Best of St. Louis” issue.
