COSIFE helped create a program to help people get out and stay out of poverty by providing a way to earn money for a housing deposit funded by the sales of environmentally friendly Vapur water bottles. Nearly 1,000 in the area live in transitional housing, including motels. The key is to break this cycle of poverty by giving them the tools they need. COSIFE has taught First PLACE! high school students how to market and sell the bottles, which will in turn benefit individuals in poverty.
