Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE)
Now in our 19th year as the College of the Ozarks SIFE team we are even more dedicated to practicing and teaching the principles of free enterprise.
Our mission is to strive to make a difference on our campus, in our community, and throughout the world by using community and campus resources to learn and teach the principles of free enterprise.
Students in Free Enterprise, one of the student organizations at College of the Ozarks, was formed to challenge students to put into practice the information they learn in the classroom. We do this by creating, organizing, and implementing projects which have the basic theme of educating others about our nation’s free market system. We present the results of our efforts each year to executives from Fortune 500 firms at regional and national competitions.
We have a membership of 40 people with three Sam Walton fellows. We welcome members from all disciplines across the campus. COSIFE's focus is to create and present innovative outreach projects that promote free enterprise and the understanding thereof. Through doing this, we endeavor to increase our leadership, teamwork, and communication skills to help us be leaders for the future.
