Bobcat Baseball Adds New Recruits

Austin ReavesCollege of the Ozarks head baseball coach, Jason Reinsch, has announced some of the members of the 2013 recruiting class. These six recruits will be added to the roster for the new season.

Austin Reaves, from Willard, Missouri, helped lead his team to the Final Four in the 2012 season, but missed most of 2013 with an injury.  Reaves was a 2nd team All-Conference pitcher in 2012 and a three time member of SABA All-Star Team.

Jesse FisherInfielder Jesse Fisher, from Hollister, Missouri, is a three time COC Small Division First Team All-Conference and Salutatorian of his class.

A three sport athlete from Nixa, Missouri, Austin Schweiss was All-District twice and COC 2nd team All-Conference baseball and COC 2nd team All-Conference football.

Transfer Garrett WoodsGarrett Woods, from Republic, Missouri, spent one year at Hutchinson Community College as a pitcher/infielder.  At Republic he was a 2012 All-Conference and All-District selection.

Andrew Eaves, from Northwest High School in Wichita, Kansas, helped lead his team to two regional championships and two state appearances.  He was a 2011 All-Metro Team and two-time Honorable Mention All-City Team.

Derek HurstDerek Hurst from Forsyth, Missouri, was a member of the All-District and Southwest Central League Teams last spring and also led the Panthers to a late surge in the Fall Season that included a no-hitter and hitting around .500 the last two weeks of the Fall Season. The Panthers won the Class 3 District 11 championship.
