Watkins Named Head Volleyball Coach

Coach Stacy WatkinsCollege of the Ozarks is pleased to announce the appointment of Stacy Watkins as Head Volleyball Coach.  Watkins recently completed her fourth season as the Assistant Coach.  Former Head Coach Nick Sharp and Watkins led the 2013 team to a successful 23-15 season overall.  The Bobcats were 11-2 in conference play, taking second place in the finals of the Conference Tournament following 5 closely matched sets.

After graduating from Republic High School in 2005, Watkins attended Northeastern Oklahoma for two years, playing volleyball and basketball.  Transferring to College of the Ozarks in 2007, Watkins earned MCAC First Team All-Conference and Newcomer of the Year honors.  In 2008, she was First Team All-Conference and an NAIA All-American.  In 2009, Watkins helped the Bobcats make an appearance in the NAIA National tournament.  Watkins holds a Masters Degree in Athletics Administration from William Woods University.

As an assistant, Watkins has made valuable contributions to the team’s training and success.  In addition, she has served as a strong role model for the athletes.  The College looks forward to Watkins continued contributions to the athletic and academic achievements of the volleyball team as she assumes this new role.
